Monster Mia

Twelve-year-old Mia, an outsider even in her own family, is sent to the strange Rotwood Academy along with her pet rat Quentin after one too many mishaps at her old school. There she discovers she's the only human among a student body of monsters, and must hide her true identity while the fiercely anti-human vice principal Van Vlad threatens to expose her. As Mia navigates fitting in, friendship, and self-acceptance among creatures very different from herself, the film explores themes of belonging, embracing what makes you different, and standing up against prejudice.
